Naga Panchami is an auspicious Hindu festival dedicated to worshipping serpent deities or Nagas. Celebrated on the fifth day of the bright half of the lunar month of Shravana, devotees offer prayers, milk, and sweets to snake idols and images to seek protection from snakebites and family prosperity.It is a day of traditional worship of nagas or snakes observed by Hindus, Jains, and Buddhists.
