Sankashti Chaturthi is a highly auspicious Hindu fasting day dedicated to Lord Ganesha, observed on the fourth day of the waning moon (Krishna Paksha) every lunar month. Devotees fast from sunrise until moonrise, breaking the fast only after offering prayers to Ganesha and sighting the moon.
