It is the day of the first appearance of Saint Gajanan Maharaj at Shegaon (Buldhana) on Magh Vadya Saptami (23 February 1878), which is celebrated every year with great enthusiasm; this day is known as 'Prakat Din' , it is not his birth anniversary but the day when he first appeared to the devotees and on this day the devotees worship the feet of Maharaj.
