Commemorates the day the revered 17th-century Marathi poet-saint Sant Tukaram Maharaj is believed to have ascended to Vaikuntha (heaven) with his physical body in 1650 AD. Observed annually on the second Day of the Krishna Paksha in the Phalgun month, it is celebrated with great devotion at his birthplace in Dehu, Maharashtra, involving special kirtans and processions.
